A terrarium is a closed eco system designed with slow growing plants that thrive with low sunlight and chipper springtails.

Botanical Aesthetics

The aesthetic that prominently features terrariums is called "botanical or plant aesthetic." It emphasizes the beauty and presence of plants, particularly in indoor spaces. Terrariums, which are enclosed glass containers housing small ecosystems of plants and sometimes even animals, align well with this aesthetic as they allow for the display and appreciation of miniature plant worlds.

For the human with a green thumb or the human who killed the cactus -

Terrariums are easy to care for.

Easier than house plants.

How it works

These ecosystem are contained in a closed jar. When assembled, water is placed in the soil, and this same water will ‘rain’ in the jar which waters the plants. As the plants grow and age, some of the foliage will die. This is eaten by the springtails which produce Co2 to feed the plants. And the cycle continues.
